Parker is an exceptional guide. He exuded knowledge and enthusiasm and his personal history with the mission adds a special touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Bring your walking shoes. It is the only mission in which you need to walk a lot. Spend a dollar on the walking tour map found in the visitors center or the gift shop.

Dogs are allowed on the Mission grounds as long as they are on a leash no more than 6 feet long. Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings. Plenty of places for you to walk around w/your dog

park entrance fee per car $6. they accepted credit card:) The hiking trail to top of hill (where the giant cross is) with a vista view.(total 0.6 miles)

If you are a glutton for punishment hike the sand trails. Not sandy ... SAND. It's like climbing an endless dune under a relentless sun. You'll feel like a survivor at the end.
