I was here today. My review: Wow! Just WOW! And except for the area around the main train station, Aachen is a lovely city. The town hall and the old city are also very nice. It is very walkable.

Wissenswert: 1978 wurde der Aachener Dom als erstes deutsches Kulturdenkmal in die UNESCO Welterbeliste aufgenommen. Die Pfalzkapelle ist eines der wenigen erhaltenen Karolinger-Baudenkmäler.

Der Besuch lohnt sich. Einmal ist es der anregende historische Hintergrund und zum anderen seine architektonische Einmaligkeit und Schönheit, die eigentlich niemandenenttäuschen kann.

Wenn man in Aachen ist sollte man sich den Dom nicht nur von außen anschauen! Die Innenarchitektur ist atemberaubend !!

Ohne Frage eine der beeindruckendsten Kathedralkirchen in ganz Deutschland. Der Aachener Dom symbolisiert das himmlische Jerusalem. Und genau dort angekommen fühlt man sich, wenn man ihn betritt.

It will cost you a euro to take pictures inside. But it will be the most well spent euro in your life! One of the most amazing cathedrals out there. Well worth the euro.
