Pretty neat road side attraction on our way across the country. I was intrigued by the "Super Museum" sign and not disappointed we took the scenic route through town to see what it was about.

Metropolis was declared the Hometown of Superman by DC Comics and Resolution 572, passed by the Illinois Legislature, in 1972. The current bronze statue, erected in 1993, overlooks Superman Square.
