fascinating frescos & Buddhist sculptures that is a mix styles and stories from different Sects and religious cultures. guides take you to a few of the rooms but you can sneak into more if you want

ずいぶん昔に行きました。 ゆっくり回ったので、トンファン(敦煌)に泊まり、１日かけてゆっくり回りました。

From Sep 2014, Mogo caves has a daily visit limit, about 6 thousand visit every day. Hope this can be of help to prevent this ancient and amazing site.

Reserve a ticket in advance via the web or phone in order to make sure you are not disappointed. In order to preserve the place only a limited number of tickets are sold each day.

Make sure but a book of the Mogao history of any kind. Stories make a place memorable. Otherwise you only remember a pile of caves.

If you are not a Buddhist for whom this place is a sacred and holy one or not historically addicted at least, visiting this museum doesn't worth its money (180 yuan, no pictures allowed).
