もとは日本統治時代の1916年に、森山松之助の設計で建てられた旧台南州庁。軍庁舎や台南市政府に転用後、2003年からは台湾初の文学館に。Classic Building, built as Tainan Region Hall at 1916. Since 2003, this building is used as the first Literature Museum of Taiwan.

台南庁舎として 1916 年に建設。外壁に煉瓦を用いた RC 造で設計は森山松之助。1920 年に行政区画再編に伴い台南州庁となり、戦後は台南市政府庁舎として利用されていた建物。
