The London Apprentice, just outside Syon Park, opposite Isleworth Ait, was once a favourite of Charles Dickens. Now it’s a perfect place to enjoy a drink by the river in the summer.

Great riverside pub, plenty of places to put bikes, awkward to park though if busy!

Get a pint of Doombar and the chicken wings. Can be a bit chilly away from fire so keep your coat on!

Lousy beer at this typical example of a pubco establishment. This place is living off its location and long-gone reputation. Poor service, uninspired food, I recommend you avoid.
