Lower Silvestri Crater is 122m in diameter,the result of a massive 1892 eruption and an easy hike.The Upper Silvestri crater has 2 paths, left one is easier, while the right fork is faster.

Easily reachable: right at the 1900m stop on the volcano’s south side (funicular, restaurant and shopping area). Nice view of the surrounding villages of Zafferana and Nicolosi, if not too cloudy.

The easy way out is to just see these craters and leave, it's better to also go up the mountain
