Our favorite part of our 9 days in Japan. Pay the extra amount for a room with private bath on the balcony and rent the rooftop onsen for 45 mins for about $30.

The rooms are fine and the in-room onsen was a nice touch, but the whole hotel is a little dingy and outdated for the price. Also, breakfast (seafood-heavy) & dinner hours & options were very limited.
