Good hotel, nice ambience and quiet neighborhood. Bit too far from Oxford centre, but certainly worth the stay.

The hotel 'shell' & grounds are beautiful but rooms and food haven't got the same wow factor - shame really as better food will lift the hotel greatly. Still, I have a soft spot for this place :-)

Don't ask help with your bags up the stairs, overweight douchebag at the front desk will send a 100 pound young woman to pick up your bags...made me feel like such an idiot.

First room, radiator and lights broken, we were moved into a smaller room. Rooms themselves not that impressive for four star. Baths with shower heads. Think conference venue, not romantic weekend.

Treatments are lovely: massages and facials in particular. Food is pretty average. Connoisseur rooms overlooking the gardens are good value.
