駅前に彫刻がありますが、素でおっさん（失礼）がベンチに座ってるのかと思いました^ ^ 無料の足湯があります。

発車メロディは童謡「しゃぼん玉」。作詞者の野口雨情氏とゆかりの深いいわき湯本温泉の最寄駅であるがため。オルゴールの美しくも切ないメロディが哀愁を誘う。
